We are excited to announce that we'll be re-opening Sunday in-person services starting Sunday, February 21st!
COVID-19 Guidelines for our In-Person Services
At Stoney Creek, we're committed to creating an environment that adheres to the guidelines given to us from our government health officials. To make this possible, our Sunday services have been redesigned to create a sanitary, touchless environment that allows for physical distancing, including limiting the number of people that can attend our services.
Our Sunday morning services are live-streamed to our YouTube page as well. As you consider attending service in-person or continuing to attend via Church Online, we encourage you to make the best choice for you and your family. You're a part of the Stoney Creek family no matter where you choose to attend!
We are hoping to begin our Sunday morning Children’s Ministry at a limited capacity for children up to Grade 2 at the beginning of March. Like our redesigned services, we're taking additional steps to keep the environment safe (and fun) for your children!
Working Together To Stay Healthy
At Stoney Creek, we're committed to ensuring a safe environment for the entire church family. Here are some of the ways we are ensuring the health and well-being of our church family as we gather.
(1) Hand sanitizer available at every entrance and exit
We will install hand sanitizer stations throughout the church for guests and volunteers to use.
(2) Additional cleaning and sanitizing
Our children’s classrooms will be cleaned after each use, and high-touch surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized at an increased frequency.
(3) Limiting the number of people in our services
We are limiting the number of people who can attend a service at one time to 30% capacity. We’ve also opened up a video overflow in our Chapel. You can register for a table in the overflow, which includes activity packs for children, from our registration page.
(4) Encouraging physical distancing
We encourage everyone to stay 2 metres (6 feet) apart from each other whenever possible, and to use touchless greetings such as a wave (no handshakes or hugs) to say hello. Washrooms are open but will be limited to 2 people at a time.
(5) Limiting touch
We have redesigned some of our Sunday morning practices to eliminate touch, such as not handing out printed bulletins and not passing the offering plate from person-to-person.
(6) Mandatory face coverings
In accordance with the MLHU order, face coverings are mandatory for everyone 12 years of age and older, unless exempt for medical reasons.
